The book has been very exciting. I really enjoyed it. It must have been really nice of Elena to take Tamara and Erik under her wing and help themget better. If it was me, I wouldn't want anybody coming anywhere near me and my dead son's clothes. If I was Erik I would've felt so badly for her. One of the hardest things to do is having a child die. When they arrived at Elena's I guess you could say it was a blessing for her. Erik was like the son she had that died.
As you know we have reached the end of soldier x.It was a good book, my favorite part of this book is when X and Tamara got married, moved to america and had 3 children. One thing that was very sad to me was when Eriks arm got ambutated. And i wonder why they made some of the soliders go back to war in Luxenburg?. Because i dont think that someone would really want to go to war because some soldiers are trying to end it. I really liked this book because it has lots of action in it and its like you never get board. Later on in the future i plan on reading a book like this.
This paricular reading assignment showed a flare of love and relationships with just as much action as a guy could want. The book was very realistic and was the best reading assignment a teacher could give. Props to Mrs. Smith on that for letting us read it. In the book my heart ached when it looked like Tamara was gone for sure but X wakes up and it turns out the bullet just grazed her head and she was knocked out. If I lost an arm I would hate it because I wouldnt be able to catch a football with two hands or anything like that. How would you feel if you lost an arm and your face was mauled and disfigured? Not so good right. Overall I give this book an A+++. It was a great read and I wouldve read it anyway even if it wasnt an assignment.
Onika, first of all, it's amputated, second, i have to agree with you, it was a great book and I will definately read this book again, or a book like this, later on in my life!

I cant believe that Elena stayed behind . She stayed behined for her house! She is insane. Ikind of feel bad for those people that got left behined in the train.
This book i highly recomend, the bloging is a great way for kids/teachers to talk about book and book clubs. next year i hope the incoming 6th graders enjoy the bloging as much as i did, and evryone else. :}
Elena is insane for doing that and I hope she is not dead becuz it was my dream to meet her but now that will never happen aaaaahhhh(teardrops are falling down my face)
I think typing wasnt as fun as face to face. Sometimes there is computer trouble. sometimes people screw up on the words. Ithink it would be better not blogging
Each week, you will be required to respond to the the section of reading you have completed. Include questions, reactions, favorite parts, etc. You then must respond to what each of your other lit circle members wrote as well. Be sure to provide possible answers to your team members questions. Ask them questions about their reactions to the reading. Have fun!
Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?
BLOG #4 TOPIC OPTIONS…
1) Did you like the ending of your book? Why or why not? If
you were to write a new ending, what would you change?
2) Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or
why not?
3) What do you think the biggest lesson is that the
protagonist of your book learns?
4) What new information or thinking are you walking away
with after reading this book?
